IT'S ALL GOOD!!! We just returned from our clinic appointment, and guess where Joey is? Yep-the bath again. The minute we came home, he asked if he could take another bath. I know you are all jealous. How many of us mothers have our boys BEGGING for a bath? He is the most precious thing in there. It is like he is like discovering it all over again. At the clinic, we learned that he is still holding his own. His platelet count and ANC were both up a little from Monday. He did not require any transfusions. He is Day +78 from transplant and doing extremely well. It is amazing how he is able to put it all behind him so quickly. The minute the radiation marks were washed away, that part was over for him. I, on the other hand, have the curse of a long memory. I have to struggle to just stay in today. Looking too far back or too far ahead gets me into trouble sometimes. Joey is sure lovin life today! He is up there singing and splashing. On the agenda for next week is just a clinic appointment for some blood counts to check his levels as well as kidney/liver function. Then, he will start the oral Accutane. They will scan him around Day 100 from transplant. Until then, we just stand grateful for each moment. His immunities are still compromised, but Dr. Patton gave me a green light to venture out with reason. I may try to take him to a matinee tomorrow if it is not too populated. He is dying to see The Incredibles. Just what I need, more superheroes. My little one is quite enough! Have a good weekend. I will update with any newsflash, but don't look for me too much. I plan to punch my funcard this weekend since Jeff hunted his away last weekend. I have a few craft shows in mind. I truly love you all.
