I think you all have grown to expect so much in the way of news--I have been stalling trying to come up with something. Truth is--no news is such good news for us. And, currently, we have no news. The weekend was full of activity and great. I enjoyed a girls night on Friday night and saw "Meet the Fockers". Hiliarious, by the way!!! Then, on Saturday, our neighbors were generous enough to watch Joey for a couple of hours so both Jeff and I could attend Gina's first basketball game. She was awesome! I enjoyed so much seeing her so into the game. She certainly has Jeff's competitive spirit. The Hoopsters won the game, thankfully, or we may not have been able to live with her the rest of the day! After that, I was finally able to take the tree down. Joey allowed it, but then, when he saw I had done it, he said, "You're fired, Mom!" This is something he frequently says when he doesn't quite get his way. Somehow, I continue to get hired back on, like about the time the laundry needs done or someone is hungry, so all is ok. Saturday night, we did our version of going out to dinner as a family and drove through. Then, we had a minivan picnic in the parking lot. This thrilling adventure was topped off by a visit to Family Video and Dairy Queen. It wasn't fancy, but it was fun since we were all together. It's amazing how your priorities change. Just the sheer pleasure of eating together in the car can seem amazing...pretty wild, huh? I went back to work today for my second week. It feels like I never left. Joey had a great day at Aunt Lori's playing with his twin cousins. He resumed the Accutane today. We will check him on Friday to see about his levels, then, they may up his dose yet again. He looks and feels wonderful. And, the bald spot on his head is starting to show signs of growth. Each day is a gift of normalcy. I am so thankful. I will keep you all posted....til next time.
