It has been a full day. Joey and I were at the hospital bright and early for part 2 of his MIBG scan. He was perfectly still, without sedation, for the complete scan. I remain very proud of him. (You may remember that one of the images is 30 minutes long.) We brought a Bond flick today to pass the time while he layed on the table. Thunderball is good for that. We made a game of counting Bond's gadgets during the movie. I am sorry to report I cannot remember how many there were. You'll have to watch yourselves. I know the suspense is killing you. I'm suffering my own suspense as I wait on the test results. But, today that was relieved a bit. I called the clinic and at least learned that the CT scans were completely normal. This is huge news as prior to transplant, there was a stubborn spot visible on the skull. It is no longer seen on CT. The MIBG will show if any remaining neuroblastoma cells remain anywhere in his body. We should hear about that on Monday. Joey will follow-up in clinic then and restart the Accutane med. Our doctor has decided to cut his dose in half so as not to repeat the calcium problem again. We shall see....Til then, have a wonderful weekend. I plan to as well. We are very excited to be with family this weekend. The annual Flaherty Family Christmas Party should be in full swing by Saturday afternoon. What did Grandpa used to say, "Hot food at 2"? Can't wait to see all of you. Jeff and I will split shift the party. It is just too risky to bring Joey. I don't want to jeopardize Christmas at home if I can help it. I'll post once I hear of the results. Love to all.
