Same old, same old here. We actually have a lower ANC today of 110. I admit to being a little discouraged. Each morning I am sure we will have higher numbers, and for the past 5 mornings, we have not. The doctors remain unconcerned. Although, this morning, they did suggest waiting a few more days and then doubling his dose of GCSF if a significant rise did not occur. The GCSF stimulates white cell growth, but it also has a bone pain side effect, so I am hoping his counts rise on their own. Really, none of you would know he is ill looking at him. He has a lot of energy. This morning, he played Bond with the PT staff. They sent us a "dude" today, so he was running around the room with this guy. Of course, he was Bond and this poor guy had to repeatedly be killed by Bond. But, whatever works. I am on my own here for a few days until I can get more family relief. There is a good staff here. I usually can leave the room during a PT play session or childlife play time. I am thankful that Joey feels so well. Really, it could be so much worse. God seems to remind me of that each time I roam the halls. I ALWAYS see a child worse off than Joey. Just a little checkpoint. Have to go now--we are going to play Shrek on Playstation. This is the quality time with him that I always want. That is the good part-undivided attention for Joey. If only, Gina were here too. Soon. Love to everyone.
