I began my day like so many others, sitting in this room, watching my son sleep and crying. But, today is different. I cried thankful tears of joy. We are on our way with a slight rise in Joey's counts today. All looks toward recovery today! Praise the Lord. I called Jeff first who is on his way here this morning. He will be thrilled to see the week's change in Joey. His mouth continues to look better and he is trying to eat more. My sister was at the Lake Youth Football Game watching Nick play when the word got around. Before she knew it, the youth cheerleaders came over to the stands to do a "Go Joey!" cheer. Go Joey-Go! Joey (and I) are looking forward to his quality time with Dad. I am seeking a little pool time this afternoon with Gina. I haven't seen the fresh air in 6 days. The prayers are working. Thanks to all our warriors out there. You are the real Superheroes.
