We are on day #2 of chemo--so far, Joey is still doing well. He is bopping around this room quite a bit. I am getting enough time at this point so I don't go nuts thanks to my wonderful Mother-In-Law, Bonnie. I would be lost here without her. As Joey's condition declines, I don't see so many breaks in my future. Jeff comes in tomorrow night for some weekend shifts. And, thanks to Kelly and Uncle Denny/Aunt Sherry--I will be seeing Gina tomorrow night for some much needed Mommy/Daughter time. She is having a wonderful time with Kelly and clan--but, she just misses us all too much. It is sometimes less apparent that she is only six looking at her--she seems older to all of us. Please keep her in your prayers as well. I have fielded many tearful calls this week from her and I can't do anything but tell her I love her. It is very difficult. Thanks so much to our wonderful family who continues to go out of their way daily to help us. I have seen people in the week I have been here who are essentially alone. It would be IMPOSSIBLE to do this alone. As bad as it is for us---the immediate and distant future---I have already met people whose children are so much worse. We have had two playful days. Joey is charming everyone here. There is an amazing staff of caring people. I feel we are in an excellent place if we have to be somewhere. They are quickly falling in love with my little man. I knew they all would.
