Sorry to keep everyone wondering....we have just been having a fun weekend. The hotel has dial-up only from the room, and it has been difficult to get on line and stay long enough to update. Friday was a quick visit to the hospital. Joey only had an EKG and ECHO of the heart. The test was not a painful one, but he SCREAMED like someone was cutting out his heart. Grandma was able to whisper a story in his ear long enough to get a reading of a normal heart beat. We don't have any real results of his tests this week. We will learn more end of next week or at admission, which should be around the 17th. I think he has been through too much to cooperate. Sometimes, he just doesn't fell like it. I don't blame him. The weekend was much more fun. Daddy came in for a visit from training. Thankfully, he was here since I didn't have such a great day on Saturday. I took out a curb and got a flat tire. Jeff changed it and we went on a tour to find a place to honor our road hazzard guarantee. We were successful in that, but it delayed our activities for the day. We ended the day with a wonderful riverboat, dinner cruise. There was a DJ and Joey and Gina had fun dancing the night away. Then, we went on deck to see the night skyline. Very beautiful. It would have been perfect except that Joey lost his favorite Spiderman hat in the Ohio River. I didn't see it happen, but Jeff said it was like one of those slow motion moments. All I heard was Jeff saying, "NNOOOOO!" Many friends are already on the search for the same hat. We will find it if it is in production! Sunday was a busy day with a visit to the Newport Levee with the Harris Family. The kids had fun going back to the acquarium and playing games at this huge game place, Gameworks. It's like an upscale Chuck E. Cheese. They have a lot of large video games and a ticket area as well for prizes. The night ended with a little chips, salsa, frozen drinks and play by the pool. It felt like vacation for a moment. Jeff flew back to NJ last evening for his last week of training. He'll be in next weekend again. This weekend was topped off with a visit to the doctor for Gina today. She has a double ear infection. So, we just line up the kids for meds all at once. Whatever! I remember a day when I was getting second opinions on whether or not to put tubes in Gina's ears! Wow, how times have changed. We'll keep you posted. Should just be fun this week if we can keep Joey well despite his sister's illness. Always something.....
