Joey and I visited the Clinic today to check his blood counts. He did very well. He will not need a transfusion of blood or platelets until Sunday. We pray for no fever before then. He has been very active this week. It does my heart good to see him goofing around. Joey's doctor said he looked, "fantastic!" Just what we like to hear! We will go in on Sunday afternoon for the transfusions in anticipation of Monday's surgery to place an additional catheter in his chest for the stem cell harvest. We will travel to Cincinnati on Tuesday and be there through the weekend. Gina is going to hang out with Grandma Bonnie here as she is still in school. I'm sure she will be spoiled and fine. We'll use this trip to scope out the lay of the land for our extended return this summer. Thanks to all of you who visit our site for updates. We truly feel your support. AND, a HUGE thanks to Mary Ann Hayden for an amazing fund raiser. She assembled an incredible group of kind, generous people--most of whom did not previously know our family. That amazing support keeps us believing in our little miracle boy. We know God will hear and answer all of our prayers.
