Hi Jeff and Laura,
Michelle Thomas has briefed me on Joey and his cancer. Our daughter Sara was diagnosed with brain cancer (ependymoma) when she was 22 months old and is now 5 and 3 months. After her surgery we went to St. Jude for treatment which is the most amazing place on earth. Michelle said you were going down there. You must be confident that you will recieve the best care in the world there. We lived in Memphis at the Ronald McDonald house for 3 months while Sara went through her radiation and have returned there every 3 months since that for checkups and tests. She is currently doing completely fine 3 years later. Anyways one of the things that is getting us through this is the support and friendship of other parents with kids with cancer. We made some life long friends while at St. Jude and to this day are very close. If you have any questions or would like to talk about what you are going through, St. Jude, etc. I'd love to talk to you. Keep in mind that this is way harder on you than it is on Joey.
