We went into the clinic today for our follow-up from chemo round 2. Joey did well. His counts are down as expected, but he was so much more cooperative with wearing a mask in and out of the hospital, etc. When he is down so low on white blood cells, they recommend this to help against infection. He is tired tonight from his outing today. I am packing for the hospital as I expect fever to hit any day. If it does, we will go in to treat it. The schedule otherwise is pretty big for April. He will go in on Friday for a transfusion as an outpatient if no fever. Then, next week they will admit him for 2 days for scans and bone marrow sample under sedation. That will be either the 7th, 8th, or 9th. Chemo round #3 begins on the 12th. Then, we will be travelling most likely to Columbus for the stem cell harvest at the end of the month. We will update as we can. We are also looking into the possibility of St. Jude Hospital as an option for the stem cell transplant, but we may not be accepted. What we do know is that we cannot do it at Akron Children's due to our insurance. Love to all of you. This is a little long-but helps us keep you informed. Thanks for all the support.
