We are home. Joey and I arrived around 4:30. He received a platelet transfusion today, so we won't be due back in clinic until Monday. Right now, James Bond is sneaking around the house with his pistol in the tuxedo I bought him off of Ebay. It is quite the sight. Jeff is going to take some digital shots for the website. We are enjoying the added space of home. When we got here, Joey went straight to the bathroom to stare at the tub. I'm not sure all of you realize this, but Joey has not had a bath since February. Due to the catheter in his chest, he has been unable to bathe. It is so strange having him here with just a bandaid where his tube used to be. We have no flushes or care this evening. Just a few pills, brushing teeth, and to bed! Sounds so normal, doesn't it? I'm not sure if we will be able to keep on the plan of not replacing the catheter line. It will depend on how Joey tolerates his once/week transfusions peripherally. I am hopeful he can do it. We will begin radiation in the next few days. They will radiate both sides of his abdomen, more on the left than the right, and a small area of his skull. It will be only 12 visits. I am praying Joey can be still enough to accomplish without sedation. AGAIN, since we don't have a line, this would require more sticks in his hand, etc. I know he can do it. He always rises to the challenge. Thanks for all the support as always. You all are the reason we get through. We love you all.
