Coming to you from home again. Jeff went straight to the hospital from work to relieve me for a few hours. I went straight to school to pick up Gina. I most likely will do a few things around here and then take her to dinner. Joey still has no fever, but the blood cultures remain positive for infection. They put TPA in his line today to attempt to clear the bacteria. They also continue his antibiotics. We must pray that this works. If the infection does not clear in the next few days, we will have to send him to surgery to remove his catheter. I was thinking maybe we wouldn't need another one at that point with most of the treatment behind us, but he is still dependent on blood products, etc. So, maybe that wouldn't be an option. I did take him to Akron General this morning for his CT planning session for radiology. They will radiate his abdomen and skull. They made a mold of his face today and Joey was completely brave and cooperative. He held entirely still for the whole scan without me next to him. I am so proud of his courage. I am renewed in my faith that he will handle anything ahead. I try to "walk by faith and not by sight" but, God is kind enough to give me the signs I sometimes need---visually! I'll most likely be at home tomorrow night for the evening. I am looking forward to one night of uninterrupted sleep again. I was getting spoiled in my own home---back to reality for the moment.
