Once again, God is smiling on us today. I had heard that there was a 60% chance of rain today. But, look at the sun!!! I am so glad it will be a nice evening for the second night of the benefit going on. A HUGE thank you to Jason, all of the Phi Delta Theta guys, and all of the people who participated, sponsored or contributed to the volleyball event. We were able to stop out last night and it was a first class effort! They even had T-shirts made that said "Spike Out Cancer for Joey". You guys are all awesome. We truly appreciate all that you are doing for us. As for Joey, he wasn't able to come out to meet the Phi Delt Dudes-but, he is having a Dude Party tonight. Ben and Nick, his two cousins, are spending the night. I was the only chick invited because as Joey said, "You can come, Mommy, because you can make the food for us Dudes!" Gee Thanks Joe! So, I got out a bit today to buy groceries and rent videos for the dudes. As for the food, I am ordering pizza. Joey is all pumped up for this as he received both platelet and blood transfusions yesterday in the outpatient clinic. He needs it to keep up with the dudes. Last night, his other favorite dude, cousin Mitchell, was able to stop over while we went to the event. He is just so excited to be able to see his cousins again. And, I am so excited to see him playing. We will have a consult with our oncologist on Monday. I'll update after that. Love to all.
