You know, when you go through something like this, it is hard to just sit back and be happy. I said to Jeff, "Each morning, I wake up and feel Joey's head. Each morning, I am amazed by his strength. I just expect to find fever or fatigue, and I don't!" I wish all of you could just come over for a big bash. I would love all of you to see him. Believe me, the MINUTE his immune system recovers, we are having a party! We have some tough stuff/tough decisions ahead in the next few weeks, so, today I really am trying to just be happy. Joey and I just went outside with his web blaster. We drained 2 cans in 10 minutes (that's $1.00 per minute!) He had a blast. I had to be Rhino, and of course, he got to be Spidey. Then, he drove his hummer around a bit. The incredible thing about that is that when we left in August, he was unable to steer his hummer. He didn't have the upper body strength to maneuver the wheel. Today, no problem at all! He was buzzing all over the yard with no trouble. Then, he wanted to ride his bike. He really booked on it! We were out about an hour. I thanked God every minute. I can't help but appreciate the beautiful sky he made today and the beautiful son he gave me.
