Day plus 41 is going very well. I am ashamed to say, however, that I am still on schedule for my 3 pm shower! Joey has been enjoying running around his house, and I have been enjoying the same. This is my first full day home with no real plans. I have been busy trying to put away all that we brought home from Cincinnati. It is amazing how much we accumulated. Disgusting, really. Joey slept well overnight, only getting up once for potty, and then right back to sleep. My sleep remains all messed up. I am just not used to sleeping all night anymore. Joey still wants me to lie on the floor next to him to go to sleep, and after that, it is all downhill for me. Oh well. Last night, I was actually hoping that I could start off in my own room, but no luck. Then, Joey said as I took my place next to him on the floor, "Mommy, I love you the whole world!" That made it fine for me to sleep just anywhere. At dinner, we all enjoyed martinis. A few people had left sparkling grape juice and plastic fluted glasses for Joey as a welcome home. Of course, when he ordered it for the family, he said, "Mommy, make sure you shake it--DON'T stir it." We all made a Cheers! toast with our martini glasses. It was wonderful. At the clinic yesterday, Joey required a platelet transfusion. His ANC only improved to 800--but, I am trying to focus on the fact that it did improve. We have a consult on Thursday with the radiology oncologist. He will also have a lab draw to see where we are at. He will have to be at a certain level to start the radiation. Til then...we will just be hanging out. I have only one hundred missions of my own around this house. With Bond around, I should be able to get it done. Thanks for all the well wishes and continued prayers. There really is no place like home.................
