What a wonderful weekend. We arrived home yesterday at 3:30 to an awesome sight. Aunt Lori, Gina and Mitchell had put 60 yellow balloons in front of the house. They were tied to anything standing still. It was funny to me that they chose yellow--it reminded me of the symbol for hostages. I felt captive so many times. We were greeted by Grandma Mary Ann, Grandpa Bob and Aunt Lisa. EVERYONE was crying when Joey and I rounded the corner beeping the horn. Joey said, "I can't believe we are home Mom!" Neither could I. Of course, the feeling was amplified when I walked inside and saw my house sparkling. It has NEVER been so clean. My amazing friends, mother-in-law and sister did a huge job on the house. I told some of you today how funny it was to me when Gina came home from Aunt Lori's on Saturday. She said, "Mom, are we having a party?" Now, that is sad. She obviously knows that when we clean--someone must be coming over. Out of the mouths of babes. Today was equally as wonderful. Gina and I went to church. That is when I truly felt home. Gina and I sat with my wonderful choir friends. The sermon could not have been more directed at our family. Father spoke of the power of faith. He said we all have times when our faith gets us through. Amen. Then, Gina and I went to a family baby shower for my cousin Mara. Lots of family was in from out of town. I was so happy to be able to just hang out with them. It was a beautiful day. Joey has been doing really well since he got home. Eating is a bit of a struggle because he is too busy revisiting his toys to stop and eat. But, he did pretty well today while hanging out with this favorite dude, Daddy. We will visit clinic tomorrow for a check of his counts. Love to all of you. It's great to be home.
