Happy Easter! We had a wonderful day. It began once again with an egg hunt. The Easter Bunny left a single egg in a basket outside each of the kids' bedroom doors. Each clue led to the next egg on the trail toward the ultimate reward--a basket. It was so fun to watch them figure it out together in search of their own pots of gold. Joey's favorite clue was this one:
"You are just like Bond--All you need is a Hottie--Find an egg---Near the potty!" What is it about potty humor at this age? All you have to do is mention it for a laugh! Well-we had plenty of laughs today. It was quite a change from last year. We were with family AS a family all day. I remember last year, sitting in Church, wishing Joey was with us. I did not feel the Easter joy. Today, Church was pure joy. I looked out at my family, filling an entire pew. I KNEW that we had risen. Joey wore his Bond get-up. He looked quite smashing. And, Gina was just as gorgeous in her Easter dress. The best part is, I don't think it pained her too much to wear it. She actually admitted to me that she liked how she looked. So did I! It was nice to see my Princess--even just for a day. We are on Spring Break--does that mean it is Spring? I think we may see some decent weather this week--but, I am still sure of the April snow. It's not until after that, that I allow myself to believe in Spring. Til then, I will just believe in new life. Joey has one, and we can all appreciate it with renewed spirit each day.
